Bombshells, a restaurant chain where waitresses wear crop tops and bullet belts, is ready to spread its wings across America following the recent election Donald Trump.
The military themed sports bar is currently based in Texas at four locations, but plans to start constructing up to 100 new restaurants across the country in the next five years.
Bombshells’ sales grew a whopping 10.5% in the fourth quarter, parent company RCI Hospitality Holdings reported earlier in December.
Bombshell’s representative told the New York Post that the chain is not a breastaurant. I’m not sure if they’re lying or just kidding, because with scantily clad waitresses and annual “Snow Bunny Pageants”, it certainly has all the familiar symptoms of a breastaurant. I’m sure Hooters would agree!
Since more and more customers are eating at home, the restaurant industry as a whole has been struggling. However, breastaurant booming businesses such as Twin Peaks and Hooters have been basking in the moonlight. Now, Bombshell’s has the ability to capitalize on the cake by bringing to the table a dining experience that customers of both military and civilian backgrounds can enjoy.
“I think overall the election is turning out to be very, very positive for us so far” Eric Langan, the CEO of RCI (which also owns six nightclub concepts), said on a call with analysts this month.
Langan also said that the company is “very excited” about the nomination of Andy Puzder, the CEO of Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s parent company, as secretary of labor. Puzder, who is no stranger to utilizing scantily clad women in advertising himself, is expected to cut regulation and reduce costs in the restaurant industry.
All this has me thinking though…what about the ladies? Someone should get a couple of Chippendales dancers in front of a frying pan. Just be sure if you do, let me know. I want a cut of the profits. 😀
